Wanda Jane Cordell, 52, of Carnesville, died Thursday, July 13, 2006, at her 
residence.

Born on January 29, 1954, in Anderson, S.C., she was the daughter of T.J. 
Cordell and Ann Carlton Cordell. She graduated from North Georgia College in 
1976, with a degree in Business Administration Accounting, and was employed by 
Nissan of Athens. Miss Cordell was a member of Sardis Baptist Church and 
attended the Macedonia United Methodist Church in Canon.

Survivors in addition to her parents, include sisters and brother-in-law, 
Barbara Cordell, Canon, and Jo Beth and Herman Guest, Carlton; brother and 
sister-in-law, Mark and Debbie Cordell, Hartwell; nephew, Allen Cordell, 
Hartwell; best friend, Karen Swann, Carnesville; and two loving puppies, Sara 
and Susie.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 15, in the chapel of Strickland 
Funeral Home with the Revs. Martha Dye, Claude Herbert and Deacon Karl 
Rittenberry officiating. Burial was in the Sardis Baptist Church cemetery.

Strickland Funeral Home, Hartwell, was in charge of arrangements.
