Joshua Parks Cox died at his home, near Carnesville, Ga., on Saturday, after an illness of six weeks. Funeral services were held at Allen's M. E. Church, South, by the Rev. J. A. Giffies, of Carnesville, and internment followed in the churchyard. Mr. Cox was born in Franklin county, 56 years ago, and lived only a few miles from the home of his parents, the late James R. and Louisa Cox. He was a descendant of early Carolina and Georgia settlers. He is survived by five brothers, James E. Cox, Carnesville; Howell J. Cox, Toccoa; Asa M. Cox, Atlanta; W. Thomas Cox, Anderson, S. C.; Leonard R. Cox, Birmingham, and one sister, Mrs. I. A. Teasley, Martin, Ga.
