The Carnesville Herald and Advance, January 22, 1931
News was received in Carnesville Monday of the death of Mr. Jim Roy Crawford, age 
26, near Hattiesburg, Mississippi, as the result of an automobile wreck. He 
traveled in that territory and was enroute to his next stop when an oncoming car 
ran into his automobile.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Crawford, of Mize, and was well and favorably 
known throughout the county. His sudden death brought sorrow to his many friends 
here. Several members of his family in Franklin County left immediately for 
Hattiesburg to attend his funeral which was held at that place on Tuesday.

He is survived by his wife, who lives in Hattiesburg, father and mother, Mr. and 
Mrs. J.M. Crawford, and eleven brothers and sisters.

Their many friends extend sympathy to the bereaved family in the unfortunate death 
of this splendid young man.
