Franklin County Citizen
Lavonia--James Wyatt Croker, 65, of Lavonia, formerly of Augusta, died Wednesday, 
July 12, 1989, at Jenkins County Hospital.

Born in Randolph County, Ala., he was a son of the late Henry and Allie Hester 
Croker. He was a disabled World War 2 U.S. Army Veteran.

Surviving are daughters, Glenda Jones of LaGrange and Norma Usfery of Columbus; 
sisters, Loren Washington of Roanoke, Ala., Bovin Wright of LaGrange, Mary 
Robinson of Carlton, Grace Bailey of North Palm Beach, Fla., Allene Smith of 
Clayton, Ema Treadwell of Tucker, Ann McQuarter of Mableton and Peggy Lester of 
Shreveport, La.; brothers, H.C. Croker and Bruce Croker of Lavonia; three 
grandchildren.

Services were at 4 p.m. Friday, July 14, at Weldon Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. 
Harbin Sanders. Entombment was in Franklin Memorial Gardens.
