Funeral services for little Edward Cromer, aged ten, son of Mr. and Mrs. Omer 
Cromer, were held December 24 after publication of last weeks paper.  He died 
December 23 from injuries at the Brown Hospital where he was rushed after being 
run over by a North Carolina car when he attempted to cross Highway 29 at Goldmine 
about 5:30 o'clock December 22.

The funeral rites were held at Sandy Cross with Rev. Floyd Stancil officiating, 
and interment followed in the churchyard cemetery. A large concourse of sorrowing 
friends attended the funeral and deep was the grief of all at the sad death of 
this little boy.  Other details of the accident was carried out in last weeks 
paper.

Deepest sympathy is extended to bereaved family in the sad death.
