Anderson (SC) Independent, March 14, 1950
Lavonia, GA., - March 13 -- William A. (Billy) Davis, 27, of Lavonia, was 
accidentally killed this afternoon atbout 2 p.m. while testing a Tournapull 
tractor for the LeTourneau Company at Toccoa.
He had been associated with the LeTourneau Company at Toccoa for the past 8 
years.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Vaughn Davis and an infant daughter, 
only 2 days old; his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Frank Davis of Lavonia and the 
following sisters, Mrs. Jim Russ Randall of Lavonia and Mrs. Julian H. Wilson 
of Lithonia, GA.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. from Pleasant Hill Bapt. 
Church near Lavonia.  The Rev. Roy W. Melton and Rev. A. B. Couch 
officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
