She had been a sufferer from pellagra and other complications, and had suffered a stroke of paralysis. She was 57 years of age. Mrs. Dove, before her marriage in 1892, was Miss Martha Cornelia Allen, a daughter of Mr. W.D.J. (Uncle Jack) Allen. She was a Christian woman, a devoted wife and mother, excellent neighbor and a woman who numbered her friends by her acquaintances. She was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church, always interested in the welfare and progress of her church. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. G.F. Taylor from the Royston Holiness Church on Saturday afternoon at 3:30, in the presence of one of the largest congregations ever to gather at this church for a similar occasion. Beautiful floral offerings bore silent testimony to the love of many sorrowing friends and relatives. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery. Surviving Mrs. Dove is her husband, Mr. Bud Dove, and the following children--Pink Dove, Mrs. Agnes Floyd, Mrs. Ruby Thompson; her aged father, Mr. Jack Allen and the following brothers and sisters: W.M. Allen, Royston; Robert and Jim Allen, Royston; Mrs. Lee Casey, Mrs. M.D. Moon and Mrs. Milt Evans, Canon; Mrs. C.D. Whitfield, Royston. Brock & Ayers, local funeral directors, were in charge of funeral arrangements.
