Ervin Dove, 84, of Royston, died Monday, July 31, 2006, at the Athens Regional 
Medical Center in Athens.

Born in Franklin County on April 3, 1922, he was the son of the late Charles 
and Mattie Coker Dove. He was a retired roofing contractor and attended the 
Grace Baptist Church. Mr. Dove was a veteran, having served in the United 
States Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by one son; and two 
brothers, J.T. & Roy Dove.

Survivors include his wife, Eunice Norton Dove, Royston; sons, Stewart Lee 
Dove, Danielsville, and Mack Dove, Royston; a daughter, Shirley Smith, 
Royston; brothers, Wayne Dove and Charlie Dove, both of Royston, and L.G. 
Dove, Lavonia; sisters, Bessie Lord and Edna Hattaway, both of Commerce; 12 
grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, August 3, in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral 
Home with the Rev. Andy Huff and Johnny Stowe officiating. Entombment was in 
the Franklin Memorial Gardens - South.

Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, was in charge of arrangements.
