Mr. Fountain was born in Hart County and was married to the former Mary Lou Hayes in 1906. His wife preceded him to the grave by several years. He was a faithful christian being a member of the Zidon Baptist Church. He was a good citizen, taking part in all worthwhile matters for the betterment of his community, county, state and nation. He had numerous friends who are grieved at his passing. Funeral services were held at Zidon church, Monday, May 28th with Rev. Mr. Nash officiating. Interment was in the churchyard. He is survived by 5 children: Henry Fountain, Toccoa; George Fountain, Royston; Frank Fountain, Commerce; Albert Fountain, Bethlehem, GA and Tommy Fountain, Hollywood, GA. 23 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren also survive.
