Glenn Died Monday A sad death was that of Joseph A. Glenn, 24, at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter B. Glenn, in the Bold Springs community, Monday, June 28, after an illness of 7 months with cancer. Mr. Glenn was a prominent young man of his community, until stricken he was a member of our armed forces and looked forward toward helping defeat our enemies. He was a true christian being a member of the Bold Spring Methodist Church. Mr. Glenn was born in Banks county, but had made Franklin his home during most of his young life. He was married to Miss Iren Elrod May 3, 1943. Funeral services were held at Bold Spring Church Wednesday with Rev. E.L. Aiken of Commerce, and Rev. H.A. King and Rev. Leo Burgess officiating. In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by two sisters, Mrs L. Carson, of Atlanta, Irene Glenn, of Commerce, one brother, Pierce Glenn of Royston, and a number of other close relatives and friends. B.D. Ginn, funeral director, was in charge of arrangements.
