He was born in Franklin County on June 11, 1920, and was the son of the late Ludie Cris and Mattie Cornelia Hart Haley. He was retired from the road construction industry and was a member of the Temple Baptist Church, Athens. Mr. Haley was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Corene Hatcher Haley. Survivors include sons, Frank Haley, Jr., Danielsville, Jimmy Haley, Houston, Texas, and Ricky Haley, Lexington; daughters, Peggy Walsh, Bowman, Patsy Jones, Hull, and Joyce Wilhite, Loganville; four sisters, Blanche Sims, Frances Horne, Gladys Scogin and Tibbie Haley; eight grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 11, in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Jenkins officiating. Burial was in the Danielsville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Jimmy Jones, George Wilhite, Charles Haley, William Haley, James Gurley and Dwayne Fleming. An honorary pallbearer was Joe Walsh. Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, was in charge of arrangements.
