 Billy Durell Hart, 77, of Franklin Springs, died Sunday, July 30, 2006, at 
Cobb Memorial Hospital in Royston.

Born in Franklin County on February 11, 1929, he was the son of the late 
William Lester and Rosa Lee Sartain Hart. He worked as a barber and was a 
member of the Royston First Methodist Church. He was a veteran, having served 
in the United States Navy. Mr. Hart was preceded in death by his wife, 
Cornelia Hansford Hart; a son, Danny D. Hart; two brothers, C.L. and O’Dell 
Hart; and two sisters, Jannelle Mize and Shirley Story.

Survivors include two daughters, Cheryal Hammock, Royston, and Alice Hart, 
Orlando, Fla.; a brother, Tommy Hart, Royston; sister, Jean Cash Pitts, 
Royston; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 1, at the Royston First United 
Methodist Church with the Revs. Vernon Boswell and Bobby Anthony officiating. 
Burial was in the Peniel Holiness Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Royston First United Methodist 
Church.

Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, was in charge of arrangements.
