He was a retired farmer and a member of Gold Mine Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was a son of the late Joseph P. Hart and Tabitha Parr Hart and was born in Franklin County on Dec. 18, 1879. His wife, Annie T. Sisk Hart, preceded him to the grave several years ago. Survivors include 4 sons, Lester and Jack Hart, both of Royston, Thurman Hart of Charlotte, NC, and J. T. Hart of Kannapolis, NC; 3 daughters, Mrs. Lola Lord of Royston, Mrs. Louise McGarity of Siloam, GA, and Mrs. Mary Sue Westbrook of Warthen, GA; 32 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Newt Hart of Royston and Moody O. Hart of Canon; 2 sisters, Mrs. Maude Stephens of Royston and Mrs. Lizzie Partain of Canon. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3 pm at the Peniel Holiness Church with Rev. A. C. Shealy and Rev. W. J. Nash officiating. Burial will be in the Peniel Cemetery. Pruitte-Herring Funeral Home is in charge.
