J.D. Hendrix, 88, of Royston, died Saturday, June 24, 2006, at the Cobb 
Memorial Hospital in Royston.

Born in Rochelle, he was the son of the late John E. and Cynthia Dove Hendrix. 
He was a farmer and member of the New Bethel Congregational Holiness Church, 
where he was a former deacon. He was a veteran, having served in the United 
States Army. Mr. Hendrix was preceded in death by his wife, Lila Moon Hendrix.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Leon Rousey, 
Royston; and a special niece raised in the home and spouse, Linda and Lamar 
Fortson, Danielsville.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 26, in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral 
Home with the Revs. Raymond Duncan and Clay Huff officiating. Burial was in 
the New Bethel Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery.

Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, was in charge of arrangements.
