J. Higgins Dies Suddenly Mr. C. J. Higgins died suddenly just after getting in a car on the the courthouse square last Saturday afternoon at 5 o'clock. Mr. Higgins served on the jury here all last week and had just received his money for this duty with which he bought a suit of clothes. Two mem were in the front seat of the car and Mr. Higgins was in the back seat alone. The car had just started off when Mr. R. L. Little who was passing saw Mr. Higgins drop his head and had the car stopped. He was rushed to Dr. Smith's office, but was dead before they reached the office. Mr. Higgins was fifty years of age and he had not had any previous illness to indicate that he would be taken so suddenly. Mr. Higgins was a good citizen, and his death is mourned by a large circle of friends. His remains were interred at Sunshine church Sunday with funeral services conducted by the Rev. Mr. Strozier, of Carnesville. He leaves a wife, eight children, and three sisters. His sisters are Mrs. W. P. Thompson, of Hall county; Mrs. R. M. Purcell, of Lavonia, and Mrs. C. C.
