J. E. HUBBARD, 79, beloved citizen of near Carnesville, died at the home Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock following an illness of six months. Mrs. Hubbard was born in Franklin County and had lived her entire life in this county. She was the former Miss Leila Aderhold before her marriage to Mr. Hubbard December 28, 1889. He husband preceded her to the grave by a few years. Mrs. Hubbard was a faithful Christian, being a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church. By her sweet disposition she endeared herself to a large circle of friends. Her whole life was one to be exemplified. A good woman has passed on, leaving memories to be cherished, and many lives being enriched by her stay while with us. Funeral services were held at Cross Roads Baptist church Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 with her former pastor, Rev. E. H. Collins officiating. Pallbearers were: M. T. Whitlow, Grady Green, G. E. Sanders, J. L. Sanders, Robert Ginn and W. E. Bramlett. Surviving are the following children, Mrs. W. C. McMurry, Mrs. Paul Willis, Misses Bertha, Marion and Ruby Lois Hubbard, and Edwin Hubbard all of Carnesville; Mrs. Herman Harber of Hawkinsville, GA, Mrs. Sam Williams of Rutledge, GA, and Mrs. Ivan Rutledge of Seattle, Wash. One brother, Tom Aderhold of Clarkston, GA; 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren also survive. B. D. Ginn, Funeral Director.
