Born in Hart County August 4, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Linton Alonzo and Minnie Richardson Pruitt. Mrs. James was co-owner and operator of Rose’s Greenhouse and was a member of the Redwine United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Minnie Poore Sunday School Class, the Young at Heart Group and the United Methodist Women. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Waymon James, brothers, John R. Pruitt and Oscar Gladstone Pruitt, and a sister, Jessie Lucille Beggs. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Thursday, December 9, in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with the Revs. David Bowen and Martha Dye officiating. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Royston. Memorials may be made to the Redwine United Methodist Church. Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, was in charge of arrangements.
