Emily Jeannette Cole Kennedy, 89, of Carnesville, died Thursday, October 19, 
2006, at Brown Convalescent Center, Royston.

She was born on November 24, 1916, in Franklin County, and was the daughter of 
the late Claude Reffard and Betty Jordan Cole. She retired from R.G. 
LeTourneau and WABCO of Toccoa and was a member of the Middle River Baptist 
Church. Mrs. Kennedy was preceded in death by a son, Dan Kennedy; sisters, 
Willie J. Mize and Lettie Ruth Chastain; brother, Almon Cole, and was the last 
surviving member of her immediate family.

Survivors include two grandchildren, Crystal Baldwin and Johnny Kennedy, both 
of the Ashland Community; three great-granddaughters; one great-grandson; and 
several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, October 21, at Middle River Baptist 
Church with the Revs. Danny Newbern, Paul Jameson, and John Swanger 
officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Middle River Baptist Church, 3170 
Hwy. 326, Carnesville, Ga. 30521.

Ginn Funeral Home, Carnesville, was in charge of arrangements.
