JULIA MARTIN DIES IN FLINTSVILLE The death of Mrs. Julia Martin at her home in Flintsville District on Sunday night removes on of the oldest, most beloved women of the county. She was 85 years old and her death came unexpectedly. She took sick the day before her death and due to her advanced age could not overcome the illness. Funeral services were conducted by her pastor at Prospect church Tuesday. A large concourse of sorrowing friends and relatives attended the funeral, attesting the high esteem in which she was held. Mrs. Martin was a consecrated member of the Prospect Methodist church and lived a most exemplery life. She numbers her friends by her acquaintances and in her death many have lost a valuable friend. She is survied by 4 boys and 3 girls as follows: W. T. Martin & O. P. Martin of near Mize; Spear Martin and Zack Martin of Stephens County; Mrs. George (Elizabeth) Segars and Mrs. J. E. (Lula) Whitfield of Stranges District and Mrs. Emeline Wilkinson of Banks County. A large number of grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive her. The relatives have the deepest sympathy of their friends in the death of this noble mother and grandmother. Additional Comments: Julia Ann Clementine Kesler's husband was Derrell A. Martin. She was born Sept. 2, 1845. Her parents were George Kesler and Mary Jane (olly) Miller.
