Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Charlotte Brooks Mason; three children, Jerry, Frank, and Arlene Mason; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Early Mason; three sisters, Mrs. Asa Lee Smith of Lavonia and Misses Pauline and Irene Mason of Commerce, and five brothers, Elmer, Marvin, Grady, Clyde, and Carswell Mason. Funeral services were held from the Royston Baptist church December 25th at 3:00 p.m., the Rev. J. Seaborn Winn, of Macon officiating; He was a member of this church. the deceased was born in Hart County in 1920. Many friends throughout this section sympathize with the bereaved family. Pallbearers were Jesse Rice, Pete Rice, Frank Bowen, Jack Sartain, Turnice Scarborough, and Hubert Fain. Burial was in Royston cemetery, Royston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
