Thelma Ward Massey, 81, of Carnesville, GA died Tuesday, September 24, 1996 at 
a private nursing home in Merritt Island, FL.
Born in Franklin County, she was a homemaker and retired seamstress.  She was 
a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
She was a daughter of the late Harrison and Myrtle Estelle Stowe Ward and was 
the widow of Marshall Fred Massey.
Survivors include: her sons, Ward Massey and Jack Massey, both of Merritt 
Island, FL; daughter, Cindy Rhodes of Ridgeland, SC.  Brother:  Jason Ward of 
Carnesville, GA.  6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, September 18, 1996, at Ginn 
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger McCoy officiating.  Burial in Franklin 
Memorial Gardens.
