Mrs. Bertie Mae Sosby McFarlin, 75 of New Bethel Community, Carnesville, GA 
died Friday at a private nursing home.
Born in Franklin County, GA on December 26, 1923, she was a daughter of the 
late Albert Parker and Ethel Crump Sosby and was the widow of Woodson Lee 
McFarlin, Sr.  
She was a homemaker, a seamstress and a member of Hunter's Creek Bapt. Church.
Survivors include: her daughter, Barbara M. Sorenson of Lawrenceville, GA; 
sons, Woddson Lee McFarlin, Jr. of Powder Springs, GA and William Jarvis 
McFarlin, of Cornelia, GA.  Brothers:  Joe Sosby and Tom Sosby, both of 
Anderson, SC and George Sosby, Carnesville, GA.  Sisters:  Lucy Payne of 
Martin, GA and Bonnie Faye Bennett of Toccoa, GA.  6 grandchildren and 1 great 
grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Sunday, March 14, 1999 at B. D. Ginn 
Memorial Chapel with Rev. Truitt Brawner and Rev. Tommy Childress 
officiating.  Burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens.
