Lavonia Times, Friday, April 11, 1930
MRS. C. P. MITCHELL died at her home in Martin, Tuesday, April 8, after an 
illness of some time.

	She is survived by her husband, and the following sons:  H. T. 
Mitchell, Russell Mitchell, Clifton, and Bob Mitchell of Martin, and Claud 
Mitchell of Atlanta.

	Mrs. Mitchell was, before her marriage, Miss Parrie Payne.  She has 
made her home in Martin for s number of years.  She was a kind, loving 
woman and will be missed by her many friends and relatives.

	Funeral services were being held at the Martin Baptist church 
Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock.  Services conducted by Rev. Bussey.

	Interment in Martin Cemetery.

Husband was Curtis Pinkney Mitchell.

Parents were Jesse Messer Payne - B. July 20, 1818,Franklin Co.;D. July 18, 
1887, Franklin County. and

Mahalia Caroline Sartain, b. May 15, 1824, Franklin Co.; d. July 23, 1887, 
Franklin County

Both are buried at New Bethel Bapt. Church Cemetery near Carnesville
