CLARK PINK MITCHELL, 87, died at his residence in Martin, Saturday night after an illness of about a year. Mr. Mitchell was born and reared in the Martin settlement and had been a very active and useful citizen. He was a member of Martin Baptist Church which he joined over 70 years ago. He is survived by 5 sons, H. T., R. W., W. R., Cliff and Claude Mitchell, all of Martin; 2 brothers, E. E. Mitchell of Toccoa and Lum Mitchell of El Paso, TX and 1 sister, Mrs. Looney of Coosa, GA. Funeral services were held Monday morning at the Martin Baptist church with Dr. A. T. Cline officiating. The Martin choir had charge of the music. Interment was made in Martin cemetery. McNeely & Lipscomb Funeral Home was in charge.
