Franklin County Citizen
Mrs. Irene Odom, a 69-year-old inhabitant of Canon (former inhabitant of Greensboro
NC) died the 
Heritage Inn Nursing Home in Hartwell, GA on Sunday, March 7. Her death was due to
an illness.

Mrs. Odom had been born in North Carolina to William Thomas and Nannie Bell Gunter
McLeod and was a 
Presbyterian. 

She was survived by her sons, Tommy Odom (Greensboro, NC), Jimmy Massey (Canon, GA);
her daughter, 
Mrs. Bonnie Huddleston (Upper Marlboro, MD); her brother, Ervin McLeod (Kannapolis,
NC); her sister, 
Mrs. Kermit Massey (Canon, GA); and 8 grandchildren

Reverands Darrell Rooks and James Brewer held services for her on Tuesday, March 9,
1976 at the Pruitte 
Funeral Home Chapel (Royston, GA). She was buried in Bowers Memorial Park in Canon,
GA
