Born in Franklin County on October 15, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Lee and Bertie Mae Human McDuffie. She was retired from Johnson & Johnson and was a member of the Royston Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Agape Sunday School Class. She was a former member of the Royston- Franklin Springs Lions Club, Woodmen of the world and the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW. Mrs. Orvin was preceded in death by a son, Keith Cole. Survivors include her husband, Robert Orvin, Royston; daughter, Pam Skelton, Royston; son, Michael Cole, Royston; brothers, Thomas McDuffie, Seneca, S.C., and Bobby McDuffie, Bowersville; three grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, September 18, at the Royston Baptist Church with the Revs. Byron Greene, Johnny Stowe, Tommy Cleveland and Dr. Danny Barton officiating. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Royston. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1925 Century Blvd., N.E., Suite 10, Atlanta, Ga. 30345-3315.
