BILL PARTEN

ROYSTON - Wilburn Bennett "Bill" Parten, 81, of 1477 Sandy Cross Road, died 
Tuesday, April 04, 1995.

A native of Franklin County, Mr. Parten was a son of the late Bennett and Teresa 
"Tersie" Phillips Parten. He was a member of Zidon Baptist Church. He was preceded 
in death by a granddaughter, Denise McElreath.

Funeral services were Thursday, April 06, at Zidon Baptist Church where the 
Reverends Dennis Kesler, Doug Burns, Darvin Cash and Vernon Dorminey officiated. 
burial was in the church cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Ida Brooks Parten, three daughters, Eloise Peace, 
Royston, Oneita McElreath, Danielsville, and Beverly Bentley, Carnesville. Two 
sons, John Parten, Carnesville and Thomas Parten, Royston. A brother, Travis 
Parten, Royston; five sisters, Carmel Parten, Lucy Haley, Madge Parten, Winnie Lou 
Patterson and Montene Parten, all of Royston; 17 grandchildren and 15 great 
grandchildren.

Pruitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
