Ambrose George Wesley Parten, 67, died at the home of his son, Cap Parten, 
Thursday following an illness of three weeks.

Mr. Parten was a native of Franklin County, and a member of the Redwine Methodist 
Church.

In addition to his widow, Mrs. Nancy Elizabeth Hart Parten, he is survived by the 
following children; Mrs. Pat Chastain, Dewey Rose; Cap Parten, Royston, Odell 
Parten, Forsyth, George Parten, Macon, Mrs. Susie Whidley, Macon, Howard Parten, 
Warner Robbins, Ga. Miss Mary Ruth Parten and  Hubert Parten, of Macon.

Three sisters, Mrs. Susie Phillips, Mrs. Roxie Cape and Mrs. Effie Hart, of 
Royston,  and two brothers, Obe and Ben Parten of Royston, also survive.

Funeral services were held from Redwine Methodist Church Saturday morning at 11 
o'clock with the Rev. Spence Phillips officiating. Burial was in the church 
cemetery with Cunningham-Pruitte Funeral Home in charge.
