Little Child Passes Away

Martha Tranquill, eighteen months old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Payne, died 
Sunday night, June 7th, after only three days illness of dysentery. The death of 
their precious little child brought grief and heartaches to the parents, brothers, 
sisters, and many other relatives and friends for she was a favorite with all who 
knew her.

Funeral services were held at New Bethel Church Monday afternoon with Rev. S.E. 
Macmson in charge.  Besides the parents she is survived by the following brothers 
and sisters; Ruby, Gertrude, Mary Ruth, Annie Lou, Constance, Ray, Lee, and John 
Payne; grandfather Mr. J.T. Payne of Banks County; grandmother Mrs. Martha Payne 
of Carnesville.

B.D. Ginn Funeral director was in charge of arrangements.

The family has the deepest sympathy of their many friends in the loss of their 
child.
