Born in Franklin County November 19, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Asa and Ethel Allen Peeples. She was a homemaker and member of the Double Branches Baptist Church. Mrs. Peeples was preceded in death by her husband, Frank H. Peeples; a son, Bobby Peeples; daughter, Jeanette Adams; and granddaughter, Donna Rudeseal. Survivors include children, Betty Baskins, Margaret Fortson and June Brooks, all of Danielsville, Joel Peeples, Canon, Linda Rudeseal, Elaine Finley, Kathy Fowler and Helen Banister, all of Royston, Don Peeples, Elberton, Ellen Matthews, Lexington, and Tammy Fitzpatrick, Bowersville; sisters, Eula Outz, Rachel Whitworth and Lattie Wooten, all of Lavonia, and Florence Norris, Gastonia, N.C.; 34 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great- grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, November 27, in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with the Revs. Eldon Massey and Grant Myerholtz officiating. Burial was in the Double Branches Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were her grandsons. Memorials may be made to the Double Branches Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
