Robert Jackson “Bob” Pentecost, Jr., 78, of Royston, died Monday, August 7, 
2006, at the Cobb Memorial Hospital in Royston.

Born in Barrow County on November 11, 1927, he was the son of the late Robert 
Jackson Pentecost, Sr. and the late Pearl Breeding Pentecost. He was a sales 
manager in the clothing industry and was a member of the Elberton First United 
Methodist Church, where he was a former usher, member of the Friendship Club 
and the Mary Freeman Sunday School Class. Mr. Pentecost was preceded in death 
by his first wife, Billie Sue Stewart Pentecost.

Survivors include his second wife, Shelbie Jean Duncan Pentecost, Royston; 
daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Greg Wright, Alpharetta; and two 
grandchildren, Alex Wright and Audrey Wright, both of Alpharetta.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 9, at the Elberton First United 
Methodist Church with the Revs. Wayne Smith, Terry Phillips and Jack Bozemar 
officiating. Burial was in the Barrow Memorial Gardens in Winder.

Church, Attn. Music Department, 118 South Thomas Street, Elberton, Ga. 30635.

Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, was in charge of arrangements.
