Franklin County Citizen
Boyd C. Phillips, 74, of Route 3, Royston, died Friday, Jan. 10, 1986.
Mr. Phillips, born in Franklin County, was a son of the late M.C. and Lonie Cape-
Phillips. He was a farmer and co-owner of Phillips Penny-wise Grocery Store in 
Royston. He was of the Holliness faith.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 12 at 2p.m. at the Zidon Baptist Church. 
The Revs. Hoyt Dove, Gary Osteen, and Paul Collins officiated. Burial was in 
Franklin Memorial Gardens South in Royston.
Survivors include his wife, Bigia Phillips; two sons, Robert F. Phillips and Paul 
Edward Phillips, Royston; three daughters, Irelle Ray, Royston, Gynell Brown, 
Fayettevile, N.C. and Betty Ann Patton, Winder; two brothers, Hubert Phillips and 
Dorsey Phillips, Royston; two sisters, Berlene Reedes, Athens, and Willie Ruth 
Hart, Royston; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pruitte Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
