Franklin County Citizen, January 1973
Royston--Mrs. Lonie Cape Phillips, 87, of Rt. 1, Royston, died Tuesday night, Jan. 
16, at Cobb Memorial Hospital.

Born in Franklin County, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Polly Manley 
Cape, she was a member of the Zidon Baptist Church.  Her husband was the late M.C. 
Phillips.

Surviving are five sons, Hubert, Dillard, Dewitt, Boyd, and Dorsey Phillips, all 
of Royston; two daughters, Mrs. Berlene Reaves of Athens, Mrs. Sequart Hart of 
Royston; one brother, Ezra Cape of Royston; 38 grandchildren; 61 great-
grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Zidon Baptist Church by 
the Rev. Paul Collins, Rev. Robert Thomas and Rev. Hoyt Dove. Burial was in the 
church cemetery.

Grandsons served as pallbearers.

Pruitte Funeral Home was in charge.
