Franklin County Citizen, March 1990
Royston--Hugh Dorsey Phillips, 75, of Rt. 1, husband of Edna Shaw Phillips, died 
Monday, March 12, 1990, at Cobb Memorial Hospital.

Born in Franklin County, he was a son of the late M.C. (Bud) and Lonnie Cape 
Phillips. He was a carpenter and a member of Zidon Baptist Church.

Surviving are wife; sons, Bobby Phillips and Jerry Phillips of Royston; sisters, 
Mrs. Berlene Reeves of Athens and Mrs. Willie Ruth Hart of Royston; eight 
grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Services were at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, at Zidon Baptist Church by the 
Revs. Paul Collins, Gary Osteen and Robert Thomas. Burial was in the church 
cemetery.

Pruitte Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
