Coroner Willie Lee Smith was called, and after empaneling a jury, a verdict was rendered that Mr. Pritchett came to his death from a heart attack. No bruises were found, and since he had been suffering from a heart ailment, this seemed the only plausible reason for his death. He had been visiting nearby neighbors where there was illness in the family. Mr. Pritchett was born in Franklin County on April 12, 1880 and had lived his entire life on his father's farm. He was married to the late Mary Evie Thomason on May 24, 1904. He was a prominent farmer and lived a Christian life, being a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church. He had many friends who are grieved at his sudden passing. He is survived by the following children: Mrs. G. F. (Amanda) Wilson, Mrs. Dayton (Viola) Ward, Mrs. J. T. (Reba) Pritchett, Mrs. H. H. (Morene) Ausburn and William C. "DOC" Pritchett. Brothers, J. W. Pritchett and L. F. Pritchett. 10 grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were held at Mt. Zion on Monday, July 12, 1943 with Rev. H. A. King and Rev. Mr. Durham officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. B.D. Ginn, funeral director, in charge of arrangements.
