Sgt. W.P. Purcell Dies in Korea

Word has been received in Royston and Toccoa of the death of T-Sgt. William P. 
Purcell, of the U.S. Marine Corps, who was wounded in the Korean area in the 
performance of his duty on Nov. 28, and died Nov. 29.

Sgt. Purcell was the son of the late Rev. W.J. and Mrs. Ella Mitchell Purcell, of 
Eastanollee, and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gertrude Purcell, and seven 
sisters, Mrs. Ossie Coe, Eastanollee; Mrs. Essie Wylie, Cordele; Mrs. Myrtie 
Starr, Atlanta; Mrs. Leon Walters, Toccoa; Mrs. Jessie Bond, Royston; Mrs. Nell 
Rudisill, Atlanta; Mrs. Winnie Hayes, Eastanollee.
