Mrs. Amie Purcell

Carnesville, GA -- Mrs. Amie Ella Whitfield Purcell, 94, died Saturday 
afternoon at the residence of her nephew, Willie D. Purcell.
Mrs. Purcell was a daughter of the late Marion and Alpha Cash Whitfield of 
Banks County. She had made her home in Franklin County for the past 71 years. 
She was a member of the Nails Creek Baptist church. Her husband, Phillip 
Purcell, died in 1949.
Survivors; three sisters, Mrs. Leila Murray, of Toccoa, Mrs. Nora Murray, of 
Atlanta, and Mrs. Nancy Verner, of Stone Mountain.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Damascus Baptist Church. 
Burial in church cemetery.
The body will be at the Willie D. Purcell residence after 12 noon Sunday, Ginn 
Funeral Home in charge.
