Mrs. Lou Reynolds Dies at Age of 80

Death came to Mrs. Lou Anna Reynolds, aged 80, at Toccoa on May 14. She had been 
ill some two weeks. Funeral services were held from the Methodist church in Canon 
Thursday with Rev. Samuel T. Todd and Rev. Frank Jenkins officiating. Interment 
was in the Canon cemetery.

Mrs. Reynolds was the former Miss Lou Anna Bowers, a member of a prominent 
Franklin County family. She was a member of the Canon Baptist church and lived a 
useful christian life.

She is survived by her husband, three children; Mrs. Ron Peeples, Royston, Mrs. 
C.P. Whitfield, Carnesville, and G.S. Manley, Toccoa; three sisters, Mrs. Ed 
Shiflet and Mrs. R.L. Berryman of Royston, Mrs. Lizzie Brewer of Canon; two 
brothers, Dr. Noah Bowers of Canon and Worley Bowers of Knoxville, Tenn., 13 
grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren also survive.

Cunningham and Weatherly Funeral Home was in charge.
