Royston--James Eugene (Gene) Royston, 71, of 615 Grove St., husband of Mrs. Icie 
Eberhart Marlow Royston, died Sunday, Feb. 5, 1989, at Cobb Memorial Hospital.

Born in Franklin County, he was a son of the late Walter Asbury and Ruby Bernice 
Pierce Royston. He was a carpenter, a World War 2 U.S. Army veteran and a Baptist.

Surviving are wife; stepson, Aubrey Marlow of Greenville; brothers, Robert Royston 
of Royston and George Junior Royston of Danielsville; sisters, Mrs. Louise Dutton 
of Royston and Mrs. Sara Sue Wright of Anderson, S.C.; two step-grandchildren; two 
step-great-grandchildren.

Services were at 11a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at the chapel of Pruitte Funeral Home 
by the Rev. Willard Crider. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
