Bobbie Joe Smith, 31, of Royston, died Sunday, July 23, 2006, at the Athens 
Regional Medical Center in Athens.

Born in Franklin County on August 14, 1974, she was the daughter of Emma Argo 
Roberts of Royston and the late Bobby Lee Smith. She was of the Baptist 
denomination. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, 
Roy Lee and Jeanette Smith.

Survivors in addition to her mother include her step-father, Owen Roberts, 
Royston; son, Gary Lee Savage, Royston; daughter, Candice Marie Savage, 
Royston; brother, James Franklin Morton, Royston; sisters, Angelia Gail 
Morton, Hartwell, and Kathy Dove, Royston; and maternal grandparents, Ed and 
Irene Argo, Canon.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 26, in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral 
Home with the Rev. Johnny Stowe officiating. Burial was in Cary Memorial 
Gardens.

Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, was in charge of arrangements.
