B. Thomason, of near Ashland, in Banks Academy community. Mrs. Thomason had been ill for about one year, a heart attack being the immediate cause of her death. Funeral services were not held until Tuesday. The Rev. Mr. Sherwood officiated at the rites held from Hunter Creek Church, of which this beloved lady was a member. She was the former Miss Samantha Emily Dickson and was married 64 years ago to Marshall Leon Broome, and again to Asa Brawner Thomason, who preceded her to in death. Surviving are one daughter and one son, A. B. Thomason, of Ashland and Mrs. Fannie Roberts, of Toccoa. She has two living sisters, Mrs. Hepsy Purcell, of Carnesville, and Mrs. Nora Bell Purcell, of Toccoa. Three brothers, Ben of Carnesville, Jerry, of Toccoa and Tom Dickson of Florida, also survive.
