Marietta Bowers Turner, 83, of Brown Memorial Convalescent Center in Royston, 
died Friday, September 22, 2006.

Born in Franklin County on September 23, 1922, she was the daughter of the 
late Lee and Liller Elliott Bowers. She was a spinner in the textile industry 
and was a member of the Royston Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mrs. Turner was 
preceded in death by her husband, James Turner.

Survivors include a brother, Tom Bowers, Athens; two nieces; and one nephew.

Graveside services were held Sunday, September 24, at the Rose Hill Cemetery 
in Royston with the Revs. Malcolm Herndon and Larry Kaiser officiating.

Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, was in charge of arrangements.
