His death was from paralysis from which he had suffered 6 years. Mr. Ward was born in Franklin County March 14, 1863, and was married to Miss Ida Leona Kesler on September 21, 1883. He was a man of exceptionally fine character and in his dealings with his fellowman he so acted as to make one and all his friend. He was a member of Allens Methodist Church and long as health permitted took an active interest in church affairs. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ida Ward and the following children: Mrs. Ida Lula Poole, Miss Sallie Ward; Mrs. Meltha Purcell, Miss Lavada Ward, Miss Beulah Ward, and Miss May Ward; Messrs. Harrison Ward, Plomer Ward, Claud Ward and Maeburn Ward. Funeral services were held at Allens church on Tuesday at 11 o'clock, Rev. Wm. E. Purcell officiating. Interment was in Allens cemetery. B. D. Ginn, funeral director, was in charge. The relatives have the sympathy of their many friends in the loss of their loved one.
