Born in Franklin County on October 4, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Dennis and Luvie Cape Roach. She was a homemaker and former licensed practical nurse. She was an active member of the Royston Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Agape Sunday School Class, Sunday school secretary, former chairman and member of the hostess committee, and a former member of the decorating committee. She was also a former member of the Ty Cobb Hospital Pink Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Abbit Roach, and sister, Frances Cothran. Survivors include her husband, Dr. Truett Watson, Royston; daughter and son-in- law, Jane and Wally Wason, Williamsburg, Va.; three grandchildren, Emma, Suzanna and Truett Wason; sister and brother-in-law, Elsie and Fred Craig, Carnesville; and a brother-in-law and spouse, Thomas and Virginia Cothran, Carnesville. Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 19, at the Royston Baptist Church with the Rev. Byron Greene, Dr. Danny Barton and Dr. James L. Johnson officiating. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Royston. Memorial contributions may be made to the Royston Baptist Church, 767 Church Street, Royston, Ga. 30662.
