Born in Hart County, June 3, 1917, he was the son of the late Phil and Julie Campbell Weaver. Mr. Weaver worked as a farmer, in a furniture factory, and was a member of the Northeast Georgia Saddle Club, and New Franklin Christian Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Weller, three brothers, and four sisters. Survivors include his wife, Littie Pierce Weaver, Canon; sons, Charles Phil Weaver, Fred Weaver, and Bobby Weaver, all of Canon; daughter, Angela Peterson, Lavonia; sister, Bertha Grubbs, Toccoa; granddaughters, Renee Smith, Annette Bolling, Lorie Turpin, Libby Nunn and Amanda Weaver; grandson, Kevin Pruitt; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 9, in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Harris, Revs. Johnny Stowe and Gettis Allen officiating. Burial will be in the New Franklin Christian Church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Pruitt, Nathan Smith, Jack Turpin, David Mathis, Tim Bolling, Eric Lunsford, Dennis Mathis, and Tyler Moore. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, November 8, from 7 to 9 p.m. Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to the New Franklin Christian Church.
