Geneva Wansley Whitlow, 86, of Royston, died Wednesday, July 12, 2006.

She was a native of Franklin County and was the daughter of Herbert and Perth 
Wansley of Carnesville. She was a graduate of the University of Georgia and 
served as an educator in the Franklin County Schools for over 20 years. She 
was a member of the Royston Baptist Church, where she served as the Sunday 
School teacher of the Fidelis Class for 18 years. She was pianist for the 
Adult Sunday School, Superintendent of the Junior Department, and a G.A. and 
Sunbeam Leader. She served as chairman of the Franklin County Library Board 
and the Royston Library Board.

Mrs. Whitlow was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Cyrus Whitlow
.
Survivors include her children and spouses, Keith and Athena Whitlow, Hilton 
Head, S.C., David and Deborah Frost, Alpharetta; three grandchildren, Courtney 
Whitlow, Whit Frost and Sloan Frost; and a sister, Betty Wansley Morris, 
Roswell.
Memorial services were held Friday, July 15, at the Royston Baptist Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Royston Baptist Church or Vista Care 
Hospice, 767 Oglethorpe Avenue, Athens, Georgia 30606.

Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, was in charge of arrangements.
