Garnet F. Wilson, 83 died December 24, 1975 in Cobb Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Banks County, GA on August 19, 1892, he was a son of the late William Graves and Martha Elizabeth Payne Wilson. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Dell Wilson and brothers, George Judson Wilson and John Wistar Wilson. He was a retired Baptist minister having been ordained in 1922. He pastored churches in the Tugalo Baptist Association; his first being Riverside in 1925. He also pastored Zidon, Poplar Springs, New Hope, New Bethel, Webbs Creek, Double Branches, Liberty, Tates Creek and Middle River. Survivors include: his widow, Amanda Pritchett Wilson; Son, Frank Wilson; Daughters: Mrs. Pope (Mary) Bentley; Mrs. W. M. (Gladys) Jackson and Mrs. Larry (Evie) Whitfield.Brothers: Horace Wilson and Thomas Wilson. Sisters: Mrs. Fred (Mae Bell) Randall; Miss Ruth Wilson, Mrs. Bryan (Jessie Ayers and Mrs. Rance (Fredda) Ayers. 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funreal services will be Friday at 2pm at Allen's United Methodist Church with Rev. Bobby Jones, Rev. Larry Davison and Rev. Grady Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
