Miss Gunnells Becomes Bride of Private Walter J. Patrylow

Announcement is made of the marriage of Miss Esther Lunita Gunnells, daughter of 
Mr. and Mrs. G.P. Gunnells of Dalton, Ga. to Private Walter J. Patrylow, U.S. 
Army, Fort Dix, N.J. The marriage was solemnized July 30th at the First Methodist 
Church, New York City. The bride wore a pale blue gown with matching accessories. 
Her corsage was of white gardenias.

Mrs. Patrylow attended the University of Georgia, in Athens. For the past three 
years she has been a member of the Villa Rica High School faulty. Her sisters are 
Mrs. Lillian Martin of Villa Rica and Mrs. Ivy P. Coleman of Devereux. Her 
brothers are G.D. Gunnells of Milan and J.P. Gunnells of Shellman.

Pvt. Patrylow is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry J. Patrylow of Kenilworth, N.J. His 
sisters are Mrs. J.E. Novak, Elizabeth, N.J. His brother is Pfc. Henry J. Patrylow 

Jr., U.S. Army, overseas.

Mr. Patrylow attended Newark Preparatory School and is a graduate of New York 
Conservatory of Music and The University of Ohio, where he was a member of the 
Delta Sigma Chi and the College orchestra. He is now a member of the Univ. Club of 
N.J. He recently returned to the states after 15 months service in the European 
theatre of operations.

After a short wedding trip to Atlantic City, N.J. Pvt. Patrylow returned to duty 
at Fort Dix, and Mrs. Patrylow to Villa Rica, where she resumed her work as a 
member of the faculty.
