R. Sewell A wedding of beauty and dignity was that of Miss Louise Tucker and Dr. Marvin Riley Sewell of Lavonia. Which was solemnized Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock, at the home of the bride's sister and brother Mr. and Mrs. Kit Tucker. The impressive rig ceremony was performed by Rev. J.G. Jackson, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Lavonia, in the presence of the immediate family and relatives. The nupital music was presented by Mrs. Garnet Wilder. Against the background of banked Japonice, the altar was decorated with a floor basket of white gladiol and on either side were seven-branched canldeagra holding burning white tapers. The candles were lighted by Mrs. Roy McGarity. Dr. Sewell accompanied his bride to the altar. She was radiantly beautiful in a two-piece Navy blue suit, featuring a white jabot, a Navy white hat, Navy and white accessories, and a corsage of sweetheart roses completed the outfit. Mrs. Sewell is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Guy Tucker of Royston, her brothers are Kit Tucker of Royston, and Hubert Tucker of Clarkesville, Ga. The bride is a graduate of Royston High School and attended Wesleyan and Agnes Scott Colleges. She has been an outstanding member of the Royston High School Faculty for a number of years and has also been active in Church and club work. Dre. Sewell is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Sewell of Lavonia. He was graduated from the Atlanta Southern Dental College and is now practicing in Lavonia and Royston.
