WILLIAM J. GRAY, WILL Georgia, Franklin In the name of God County Amen I, William J. Gray of Said State and County being of Advanced age and knowing that I must Shortly depart this life, deem it Right and proper that I Should make a disposition of My property with which a kind providence has blessed me with. I do therefore make this my last will and testament hereby revoking all others heretofore made by me. Item 1 st. I desire that my body be buried in a decent and Christian like manner Suitable to my Circumstances and Conditions in Life. My Soul I trust Shall return to rest God who gave it as I hope for Eternal Salvation through the merits and Atonements of the blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Item 2 nd. I desire that my Just debts be paid by my Executor hereinafter Appointed. Item 3 rd. I Give bequeath and devise to my wife Martha M. Gray, my tract of land in Said County where I now live containing One hundred and forty Eight Acres more or less to ocupy hold and Enjoy for the benefit of herself and Children and to Support and Raise my Children on the proceeds arising from Said Lands and at her Death to be Equally Divided between all my Children to wit..Rebecca J. Gray, William T. Gray, Linsa A. Gray, George G. Gray, John R. Gray, James W. Gray , & Martha L. Gray. Item 4 th. I also advise that my Entire Stock Consisting of Horses, Stock Cattle, hogs remain on Said farm and be used for the benefit of my family together with all my tools of any kind, and also all my household and kitchen furniture to be used and Enjoyed by my family and at the death of my wife, Martha M. Gray to be Equally divided between all of my Children as heretofore Names. Item 5 th. I hereby Constitute and Appoint my wife Martha M. Gray Executrix and Tapley B. Gray, Testator, Sign Seal and Publish the within and Annexed writing as his last will and Testament While of Sound and disposing mind and memory and that he witnessed the Same for him at his request and in his presence and that he saw B. F. Duncan, Susan E. Allgood and Elizabeth E. Duncan all of Said County Subscribe the Same as witnesses in the presence of Each Other and at the request of the Testator Wm. J.
